For over four decades we have endeavored to advocate, publish, program events and promote the integral role of Mary Bulmer Brickell in the birth story of Miami.
Finding the truth in history’s marginalized figures
Our mission is first and foremost to advocate for Mary Bulmer Brickell as a mother of Miami and the Brickell Family in general to be more recognized as a key element to the founding of the city of Miami.
We shall do this through an annual history festival in Mary’s name at Mary Brickell Park. We shall also endeavor to support and promote the mantra to “find your Mary” which is to say find the truth in other marginalized figures in history.
Through the promotion of the Orange Blossom 2.0 book and other publications, research any future publications.
Finally, The Mary Brickell Foundation will endeavor to educate young and old alike through outreach programs, tours, lectures, promotion and or corrections in the press and publishing future books on Mary’s remarkable life.
